It would be an educated guess to state that around 90% of bands get started in Bars or Pubs, Mental Care Foundation (MCF) is no exeption in that regard. Founded in small city of Kokkola on the westcoast of Finland, the four guys knew about each other from before but didn’t really become friends until the band started. By the end of 2003 the band had begun to rehearse a set comprised of mainly Slayer and Pantera covers…getting bored rather quickly it was evident that the next move was to write their own material. Thei music was pretty much in the vein of their idols , following the style of the bands that they had previously covered.

Melodic-Death/Power-Metal from Finland

Gladenfold hail from the Finnish metal scene, blending melodic death metal, power metal, and symphonic elements into a distinct sound. Founded by brothers Esko and Lauri Itälä, the band has evolved over the years into a stable lineup including Paavali, Matias, Toke, and Ville, delivering technically skilled and emotionally powerful music.

Their album Soulbound is a concept work exploring fate, choices, and consequences. Growl vocals are replaced by melodic singing, with focused and intense compositions. The band collaborates on every stage of production, from songwriting to arrangement, recording, and mixing.

Gladenfold’s music combines epic atmosphere with personal depth, offering a powerful and emotional experience both on record and live.

German Death Metal

The inside-tip DEAD ALONE is back with their new work called “Serum“. On the fith album the musicians remained true to atmospheric Death Metal and managed to develop their unique trademarks at the same time. “Serum“ the the band’s most innovative, complex and catching album yet.

DEAD ALONE mirror an oppressive reality in which humanitiy causes its own apocalypse by merciless exploiting faith and hope. „With “Serum“ the band kicks their autience into that world that is based on roaring guitars, driving drums and an intense bass. Above the music singer Florian Hefft’s vocals sit enthroned an reign with desperate screams, agressive nagging and deep growls. Ornately interwoven orchester parts carry through this massive piece of art.

“Serum“ was produced at Perlsound Studio (Munich), the drums were recorded at Forester Studios (e. g. THRÄNENKIND, HERETOIR). Frieder Loch (Ex-TODTGELICHTER) did parts of the orchestration and synthies. “Serum“ got its powerful yet transparent sound by Dinos „Psychon“ Prassas (Live-Guitar in SEPTICFLESH) who did the mix and mastering.

It took DEAD ALONE three years until they achieved the perfect interplay of artwork, lyrics and music. “Serum“ is a demanding and intense journey that the listener won’t get out of his head easily. Highly recommended for fans of PARADISE LOST, SEPTICFLESH und ENSLAVED!
